As a Wizard Play Network (WPN) store we offer sanctioned Friday Night Magic events every Friday night from 5pm to 10pm. All events are free unless otherwise noted.
Players are encouraged to use the official Wizards of the Coast Magic Companion app available on Google Play and the Apple Store to register to play in events (players can sign in as a guest if they don’t have a phone or the ability to download the app or create an account.)
Prize support varies based on the format, and the formats offered may vary with format demand (for instance, we will fire Standard, Modern, Pioneer, etc. events if there are 8 or more players in attendance that want to play in those events.) Prize support for each Commander pod is a Promo Pack, and with each draft we add 1.5 packs from the drafted set to the prize pool.
Regularly hosted events are as follows:
• 5pm: Commander (Game 1, 4 players per pod, best of one)
• 6pm: Draft ($16+tax per player, Swiss style best of 3)
• 8pm: Commander (Game 2, 4 players per pod, best of one)
Special FNM events are held for Pre-Release and Release events:
• Pre-Release events are always at 6pm on the Friday of Pre-Release and are $30+tax per player (the cost of the pre-release kit.) Players will build decks from the packs in their pre-release kits and play in a Swiss style tournament. Pre-Release events are also scheduled for 12pm on Saturday of Pre-Release weekend. Prize support for pre-release events includes 1.5 packs per player and potentially additional prizes based on the event turnout and available promotional material.
• Release events include a Sealed Bundle event and are $40+tax (the cost of the bundle.) These events are held on Fridays that coincide with the release of a new set (so 1 week after the pre-release event.) Players will build their decks from the packs in their bundle and play a Swiss style tournament. Prize support for release events includes 1.5 packs per player and potentially additional prizes based on the event turnout and available promotional material.
